Chromatone 3.0 alpha Presentation
event11 Aug 2024 @ Place Coworking
We are approaching new horizons of real life use cases for Chromatone. Let's celebrate it!
Place Coworking invites you to an exciting workshop by Denis Starov, creator of Chromatone - a visual musical language on 11 August at 18:00. Registration - link at the top of the profile. The author will share his unique approach to visual understanding of music, born from more than a decade of live jamming and musical research. You will be able to see music in a whole new light!
In this workshop you will learn:
How to instantly recognise notes and chords using colours
How to overcome traditional obstacles in music theory
Techniques to help you increase your musical creativity and understanding.
You’ll explore interactive web applications that process MIDI messages, analyse microphone signals and create visual representations of notes, intervals and chords. You will see how a pure note A fills the screen in red and its second harmonic, the fifth of E, appears through a circle in azure.
The workshop will proceed as follows:
A 1-hour introductory lecture in which I will explain the Chromatone system.
A 20-minute break for discussion and networking
A 1-hour collaborative music composition workshop where we will put these visual concepts into practice. (Bring your instrument to play!).
The event is free and open to anyone 12 years and older.
Join us to immerse yourself in the colourful world of visual music together!
